The new face-lifted 2021 Acura TLX is a luxury mid-size sedan set to be lunched next month, at a retail price of $37,500. This starting price is excluding of shipping fee and clearing cost in your country.
As we all know, the new model is a bit costlier than its predecessor, which is the V6 3.5-liter TLX model. This came as a surprise to us considering the fact that the 2021 Acura TLX offers 4-cylinder turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with a generative output of 272 horsepower, while the outgoing version coughs out as much as 290 horsepower from its V6 engine.
However, the carmaker revealed that the new model offers additional 13 pound feet of torque, over what was offered on the 2020 version. This means, the 2020 Acura TLX features 280 pound feet of torque. Also, the turbocharged engine is expected to offer torque at the low end of rev range.
Other important aspects to consider include the 10-speed automatic transmission as standard, unique body structure, exclusive chassis architecture, electro-servo brake-by-wire tech (NSX-derived), sport-tuned chassis coupled with double wishbone suspension at the front and other top class road performance features.
The 2021 Acura TLX on the inside offers some exciting safety and driving features as well. These include 10-inch HD center display from the Acura’s True Touchpad and the company’s safety suite such as Traffic Jam Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, next-generation airbag at the front to prevent injury and many others. Additional features available include the intensity adjustable LED interior ambient and 17-inch speaker (ELS STUDIO 3DO premium audio system).
Customers can combine the standard 2021 Acura TLX version with the Technology Package, which goes for $41,000. For the A-Spec Package, you will be required to pay $44,250, while the Advance Package goes for $46,000. The torque vectoring Super handling AWD will be one of the optional headlined features, which will be made available on every version for extra $2000.
The company is expected to launch the top ranging model of this 2021 Acura TLX, which is the Type S performance model. The premium model is set to be equipped with a V6 3.0-liter Turbo engine with generative output of 355 horsepower. The pricing for this Type S performance model with super Handling AWD as standard, is set from $50,000 to $60,000.
