Prior to the recent unveiling of the all-electric version of the C_Two hypercar, Rimac has just opened a showroom for the electric hypercar to be released later in 2021.
The Croatian carmaker has formed an alliance with Kingsway Group for its debut at the Chinese market. The company already has made its presence known in big auto markets such as in US, Germany, Mexico, UAE, Canada, Japan, Singapore, UK and some other countries.
According to Mate Rimac, who is the chief executive and founder, recently revealed that:
“The C_Two is the next generation hypercar that unlocks the extreme performance of the electric drivetrain and will bring a new level of driving experience. It will be supported by a customer service experience to match – no matter where you are in the world. As such, we are very happy to welcome Kingsway Group into our family with their excellent reputation and access to the key markets for our customers in Hong Kong, Macau and China. This is another important step in the building of Rimac’s global network and brand.”
It was three years ago that the carmaker launched its first C_Two, a time that began the journey of refining the model such as the exhaust testing program to make sure it is perfect for clients when deliveries start. Rimac began the preproduction phase in December, 2020, manufacturing 6 new preproduction units.
When the new electric model is fully launched, it is expected to overtake Aspark Owl as the quickest acceleration car on the planet. The Rimac_Two hypercar will come fitted with 4 electric motors with a combined output of 1,888 horsepower and 1,696 pound feet of torque. The Electric hypercar will be able to sprint for zero to 60 mph in an incredible 1.85 secs, and a top speed of 258 mph.
