$80k Hongqi E-HS9 is an electric luxury SUV with range of 317 miles

This year’s Beijing Auto Show has witnessed the debut of lots of incredible production and vision models. This new Hongqi E-HS9 is one of those launched models that caught the eyes of car lovers across the globe.

The model, which is set to be sold only in China, will be  offered in 2 configurations, comprising one electric motor on every axle, generating as much as 215 horsepower and 258 pound feet of torque and the other end coughing out 328 horsepower and 332 pound feet of torque.

For the lesser zero emission trim, it will only go for as long as 460 kilometers on a single charge, while the more powerful variant will offer 317 miles in range and accelerative capability of zero to 60 mph in less than 4 secs.

The new Hongqi E-HS9 is 79-inch wide and 68.2-inch tall. The striking front end is dominated by massive grille with vertical slats, LED strips and slim headlights. The rear end looks busy, with dynamic lines on the sides.

On the inside, there are 3 digital displays, which include the HVAC controls, infotainment system and digital gauges. We couldn’t but notice the exquisite leather, aluminum insert and wood adorning the interior look.

For the base price of this model, it will be sold for $80,000 (550,000 Yuan).
