Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has always loved life in Spain and getting to wear the FC Barcelona jersey is nothing short of a dream come through for the Gabonese striker. Who is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang?
The former Arsenal star is Gabonese by nationality. Aubameyang was born on the 18th of June 1989 in Laval, France. He presently plays as a striker for both FC Barcelona and Gabonese national team. Most people would remember his playing days with Dortmund, a club in the Bundesliga. At the time, he was one of the most potent attackers in the world, with his finishing, pace and off-ball movement. Unknown to many, He started his professional footballing career with AC Milan, a club in the Italian Serie A. Surprisingly, he never made any appearance for the Italian club as he spent most of his early playing days on loan in France. Aubameyang won the Coupe de la Ligue title with Saint-Etienne in 2011.Â
He joined Borussia Dortmund in 2013, where he won the DFB-Pokal and scooped the top scorer award in the 16/17 season. Signing for Arsenal FC in a deal estimated around 56 million pounds made him the most expensive Gabonese player of all time. That’s pretty easy considering we don’t have lots of Gabonese around playing in the top flight. His time at Arsenal was one of a bittersweet situation. He won the joint-top scorer award in the 18/19 EPL season. It was this same season Aubameyang won the FA cup with the Gunners. He left the North London club on what many would refer to as sad note. His contract was cancelled on mutual consent after he was left out on many occasions by Arsenal coach Arteta. He signed for FC Barcelona in the 2022 January transfer and has since made his purchase a worthwhile one with a recent hat trick against Espanyol.

What is Aubameyang’s biggest car regret?
That is actually straightforward. He hated the fact that he sold his very first car, an Audi TT. He bought this German automobile when he was playing for Lille, a side in the French Ligue 1. He did a bit of custom job on the vehicle, like fitting it with butterfly wing doors with the additional R8 kit. Aubameyang isn’t giving up yet on his car collection. He plans to add more exotic cars like Koenigsegg and Pagani Zonda to his collection.
