The Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe is a wild beast with lots of power, lots of torque, and an addictive soundtrack that makes it hard to resist the urge to pin the throttle and enjoy its performance. However, it is also a car that can bite if you are a little too overzealous, as this driver recently discovered.
This dashcam footage was recently shared to the Dash Cam Owners Australia page on YouTube and shows a matte black C63 S Coupe driving on a rain-soaked highway in Browns Plains, Queensland.
As the cammer merges onto the highway and pulls in front of the Mercedes, the C63 S driver prods at the throttle, briefly kicking out the car’s tail. Evidently, the driver quite liked the feeling of spinning up the car’s rear wheels and proceeds to slow down and then hits the throttle once more. This time, however, the driver keeps the throttle depressed a little longer and is unable to adequately counter-steer into the slide. The car can then be seen spearing off to the right of the highway and sliding sideways off the road.
The cammer and a pickup truck that witnessed the whole thing can then be seen pulling over to the side of the road.
The driver of the Mercedes wasn’t speeding at the time but intentionally kicking out the rear of a car as powerful as the C63 S in the wet is a risky game – a lesson this driver learned the hard way.
