II. Who is Migos Takeoff?

Takeoff with the real name Kirshnik Khari Ball was born on the 18th of June 1994 in Lawrenceville, Georgia in the United States. He was part of the music trio Migos alongside Quavo (his uncle) and first cousin, rapper Offset. He was reportedly raised by his mother, alongside the other two members of the group.

While he was already making rhythms in the 7th grade, he journeyed fully into music at the age of 14. Takeoff started rapping with his relatives Offset and Quavo under the group named Polo Club. The name was later changed to Migos, to be followed up by ‘Juug Season’, their mixtape and full-length music project. Their breakthrough eventually came in 2013 with the smash hit ‘Versace’. The song which was remixed by Drake made it to the 99th spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and also taking the 31st spot on the Hot R&B/HipHop Songs chart. Migos first album ‘Yung Rich Nation’ came out in 2015, featuring the likes of Young Thug and Chris Brown. The debut album was a huge success, making it to 17th spot on the Billboard 200. The song was also certified platinum by RIAA four times. ‘Culture’, their second album, was released in 2017. The album peaked at number 1 on Billboard 200 with a platinum certification. ‘Culture II’ followed and also made its debut at number 1 on the US Billboard 200. Other notable projects include the likes of Culture III, Last Rocket (solo project) and Last Memory (Solo Album). Before Takeoff’s death, the Migos group was passing through some internal friction that almost tore them apart. Apparently, the friction was due to the report that Saweeti, Quavo’s ex-girlfriend, slept with Offset.

Who shot Take off rapper? He was shot at a Billiards and Bowling event in Houston. The unfortunate event happened after they ended the party around 1am on the 1st of November 2022 in Texas. Quavo, his uncle, was also present at the time of the shooting but escaped unscathed. It was confirmed that an argument that followed a dice game led to the shooting at 2.45am. Did Takeoff get killed? Eyewitnesses found Takeoff dead after the shooting while two people were rushed to the nearby hospital for medical treatment.
